There are more new changes this morning for those with access to Search Analytics Alpha / Beta in Google Webmaster Tools.
In addition to the URL filtering added today, Annie Cushing from Annielytics has noticed that Google Webmaster Tools has revamped their search types and devices in the new Search Analytics Alpha/Beta. What does this mean? No more endlessly clicking back and forth between web and mobile like you currently have to do in the regular Search Queries reporting.
Here is a screenshot of the new options:
And here is how it currently looks for those without Search Analytics.
This definitely makes it much less confusing, especially for users who might not be as webmaster savvy, as Cushing noted on Twitter.
So it was confusing. Is Web synonymous with desktop? The list doesn’t make sense because they’re not in the same category.

It is nice to see some of the feedback going into changes as Google Webmaster Tools gets closer to opening Search Analytics to everyone.
Added: Annie has also made a great video that walks through all the latest changes as well.
