New Google Mortgage Calculator Knowledge Graph, Testing With & Without Ads

If you play in the mortgage space, or even an online calculator space, you will probably be displayed to learn that Google is now including mortgage calculator as a knowledge graph.

They also seem to be testing running the calculator both with ads and without. Because it’s a very competitive space, you just never not see ads running for these types of search queries. So the fact that Google is testing this calculator without running any ads for the query is quite telling.  It also means that paying advertisers can get locked out of the search results for mortgage calculator search queries.

Google is running this calculator on both desktop and mobile. They are testing the ads versus no ads on both as well.

Currently this seems to be the only calculator that Google is currently running as the knowledge graph. We do multiple searches on a variety of terms that should prompt a calculator, if Google is planning to display one, but they are not. But I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more calculators in the search results if this one performs well for Google.

It is worth noting that the calculator knowledge graph is not sponsored in any way, or attributed to any source or website. However, I know that her be plenty of advertisers willing to sponsor that!
