There are two phases for the ending of Flash ads. On June 30, 2016, advertisers will no longer be able to upload new new display ads in Flash format. And those who currently have Flash ads in their account after that date will still be able to run them for a short while. Google will then completely discontinue Flash ads on January 2, 2017.
But Flash has seen a pretty wide reduction in use. Back on September 1, 2015, Google Chrome began blocking all Flash ads by default, which followed the move earlier that summer that saw Firefox do the same.
For advertisers with Flash ads, if you don’t have another version available, Google offers tools for advertisers to build new versions in HTML5.
