Google Soliciting Feedback for Local Pack Results

Google is testing a new feedback feature in their local packs, allowing searchers to give feedback about the specific results that are being shown – or not shown – in the local pack.  For local SEOs, the feedback form includes the usual expected feedback options, but with an very interesting addition – an option for results that are missing from the local pack.

Sergey Alakov spotted the test, and here is what it looks like:

And another example:

And when you click through to give feedback, here is what it displays:

The feedback is clearly tailored to the local pack since it includes a location specific option.  It also has an option for “missing a result” which means if your business isn’t appearing in the local panel, you could suggest that it be included if it is missing – however, I suspect it won’t have too much of an impact if you do that, unless it was possibly a bug issue.

They could be soliciting feedback for spam results, something that is still a major problem for many local verticals.

Google has solicited feedback for other local results previously, such as this one that sought feedback for hotel results in the knowledge panel.

This seems to be a test as I was unable to replicate it in the search results.
