Day 3 of #GoogleRecon — For a reconsideration request to be successful, a significant percentage of inorganic links should be removed from the website. If you can get a backlink removed, remove the link instead of adding it to the disavow file. Simply disavowing links will not be enough to make a reconsideration request successful.

Now, some will argue that you only want to remove the inorganic backlinks you feel that Google has probably discovered. However if you want to play it safe, which you probably do if you are currently sitting in the penalty bos, you will want to remove any backlink that has a paid link profile to it, regardless of whether it was purchased or not.
