If you have been wondering whether the “months” that Google planned to roll out the latest Panda 4.2 update is over, it is not. Gary Illyes from Google confirmed at SMX West Thursday that as of Wednesday it is still rolling out, and he expects it to continue rolling out for months.
When Panda 4.2 originally came out in mid-July, a Google spokesperson confirmed it would be rolling out “over the coming months”, and much speculation was made about just how long those months would be. But we are now two and a half months into it, and it seems that there is no end in sight yet.
And many people still aren’t seeing much of the expected fluctuations that usually come with a Panda refresh or update, further evidence that it is indeed rolling out extremely slowly.
If you aren’t a fan of these slow rollouts, you will have to get used to them. Gary Illyes confirmed last month that they would continue with these slow rollouts of Panda in the future too.
