Google Looking for Feedback on Search Console’s Content Keywords Feature

John Mueller from Google is looking for some interesting feedback from Google Search Console users specifically around the “Content Keywords” section.  It seems that they are looking to not only find out what people think is most useful, but also how people might be confusing what it is actually telling webmasters.

Here is a quick look at the survey:

It is interesting that people could be confusing what that particular report is actually telling webmasters.  But it is listed without any context at the start of the list to describe exactly what keywords these are and how webmasters should be using them (hint: if you see viagra or porn terms, and you aren’t in those markets, you probably have a problem).

You can also submit additional comments about the Content Keywords feature.

Does this mean we could see the Content Keywords feature become something slightly more useful?  It would be nice for them to not just include single keywords but also popular keyword phrases as well – would also make things slightly more interesting to look through, without feeling like you are weeding through a ton of single keywords, some which aren’t completely relevant or are typically extraneous on a page.

Google has done a few surveys this year looking for feedback from webmasters on various aspects of Google Search Console and it is nice to see them not only soliciting feedback but hopefully making changes around those features as well.
