Google+ Allows You To Pin Post to Top of Google+ Page

Google+ is taking a page out of Twitter’s usability book and has made the change that allows users to pin one of their Google+ pages to the top of their Google+ page.

When viewing someone’s Google+ page, especially when they are a prolific poster, it can be hard to tell what the most important thing they may have recently posted. You can only pin one Google+ posted at time.

You can only pin public posts at this time. If a post is either private or extended circles only, you will be unable to pin it. It’s not known if this is deliberate, or if we will see support for private and extended circles posts later.

It does not appear to influence what is shown in the Google search results, however. While this would be a great perk for businesses, it could also be heavily abuse, which is likely why it isn’t supported.

The changes are now live on desktop and for android users, and Google plans to release the feature to iOS users soon.
