Google AdWords Adds New Airline Specific Consumer Ratings

Google AdWords is adding some new consumer ratings into the mix – these ones specific to the airline industry, and seem to be usable only by the airlines themselves.

We are all used to seeing consumer ratings in Google AdWords and Bing Ads, where the ad can highlight consumer ratings they have received in traditional areas such as customer service, return policy and delivery.  They seem to have expanded this to the airline industry now, with specific ratings that are very tailored to the airline industry.

In this example, they have ratings for check-in, in-flight experience and baggage handling.  Service and ease of booking can also be displayed.

Here are a couple more from other airlines.

It is also worth noting that other sites that sell tickets or offer comparison shopping for airline tickets do not show these consumer ratings, even when the ads are specific to these airlines.  However some do show their own consumer ratings specific to their own websites.  But these special airline specific ones seem to only be available to the airlines themselves.

These airline specific consumer ratings seem to be only available on Google AdWords.  Bing Ads does not seem to be offering anything similar to airlines for their own ads, at least not at this time.
