Google Adds Tabbed Shopping Results in Knowledge Panel Hybrid

We have been seeing a lot more of the knowledge panel / shopping ad hybrid that has been showing up for some product searches in the Google search results.  But Dr. Pete Meyers from Moz has spotted a new variation of it – one with tabbed shopping results instead of the usual listing or expanding listing of sellers.

This one displays to show carrier options for purchasing a smartphone, along with options for phone variations and then prices for each phone from each carrier in tabs.

It also greatly expands the number of sellers displayed in the knowledge panel, albiet in a tabbed format.

This seems to be a desktop only variation, the same search on mobile just shows the regular listing but without the tabbed options.

This is a variation of the shopping ad / knowledge panel hybrid that Google has been running recently, as all other elements, aside from the tabbed feature, appear to be the same.
