Duane made the announcement during his keynote at State of Search in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday.
“I’m looking forward to the continuation of the decade-long dialogue Bruce and I have had going on how to serve people better, how to build better tools, what businesses need to be more successful – when you find people that share a like mindset, you tend to gravitate toward them, and those conversations never stop. You just continue to move forward.
I have a tremendous amount of confidence in the team that I am joining at BCI – it’s going to be simple for me to learn new things because the team here is that good. There are things here that I am going to pick up on and that excites me. At a search engine, you can see things from a different perspective. But I’m walking out that door and I’m joining everyone else in the sunshine.”
“The biggest difference I see between Bruce Clay, Inc. and other agencies is talent. This is an area where I see agencies struggle. BCI is very stable and has an expert knowledge base. I know the team that’s here and they’re smart SEOs.”
His official role is Vice President, Organic Search Operations. And it also means he is moving from rainy Seattle to sunny Southern California.
Ever since Forrester made his official announcement about leaving Bing, there has been much speculation about where he would end up, especially with his background as an SEO as well as his Bing experience. We wish him best of luck at Bruce Clay Inc!
