Another search engine is aiming to take a bite out of the lyric website business. Bing has begin showing lyrics in the search results when someone performs a search for “<song title> lyrics.”  Perhaps most notably, they show the entire song lyrics on the search results page.

All the songs appear to be licensed through LyricFind and include full credits.   It seems likely that Bing licensed their entire lyrics database, as nearly every song searched for with the keyword “lyrics” triggered the full lyrics on the search results page.

Google also displays lyrics in the search results, but only a portion of them and includes a link to Google Play to get the entire lyrics to the song.  And Google seems to show lyrics more frequently for older songs, while favoring video results for newer songs.

By contrast, Bing is publishing the entire lyrics, even for longer songs.  Behold American Pie lyrics.
