All Access to Search Queries in Google Search Console To Be Removed Wednesday

For those of you that still love the old Search Queries report in Google Search Console, you won’t be happy to know that Google tends to remove all access to it on Wednesday, September 16th.

Google began removing access to the old Search Queries report a few weeks ago, to encourage webmasters to start using the new Search Analytics report.  However, there was a workaround for it to still have access when visited with a specific URL.  But this direct URL access will be turned off this week when Google begins redirecting those workaround URLs to the new Search Analytics instead.

Zineb Ait Bahajji posted the following on Google+ today.

Dear Search Console friends,
4 months after the launch of the Search Analytics report, the time has come to remove the old Search Queries report from the Search Console.
Please note that starting Wednesday, September 16th , all URLs pointing to the Search Queries report will be redirecting to the Search Analytics report.

As I noted when I posted the workaround, it was likely that all access would eventually be turned off for it via the direct URL, so it isn’t surprising Google Search Console is making this move.  But if you want any last minute data from the old Search Queries report, you will need to do that before Google begins redirecting those URLs on Wednesday.
